No I did not do a road trip to Daytona over Spring Break and get ripped every day. Things change over time. As I have a matured overtime I have made more healthy ways to get my heart rate up:)
So I began my Spring Break weekend with a 100 km ride in Lumberton, NC at the Rumba on the Lumber. On the 100 km ride there was a fast group of approximately 25 riders. After 30 or so miles there were only four of us on upright bikes along with two cruz bikes. To make it more challenging I decided to ride my tri bike on Power Cranks (set at 150 mm). By mile 50, I was feeling a serious work out and I decided to just be a wheel sucker to finish with the leaders. When I was finished riding I decided to do a B.R.I.C.K. However, that was short lived with a jog of about one tenth of a mile. I was cooked.
On Thursday March 9th we hosted a Wine Tasting Social at May Street Bicycles. We had various assortments of wine and snacks. I enjoyed my friends in attendance.
On Saturday March 11th I did do a road trip to the beach to participate in the U.S. Open Fat Bike Championships in Wrightsville Beach, NC. Which was a total blast. I cannot wait to do this event next year:)
Now it is Sunday and I should prepare for the week back to teaching. But oh no! We have snow in the Carolinas. So what am I going to do? Ride my Fat Bike on the trails:)
Life is short... Make memories:)

May Street Bicycles is not your typical bike shop. Sure we sell awesome bicycles, provide bicycle repairs, and rental bikes all at great prices. But we do a great deal more such as dynamic bike fitting, metabolic testing, altitude training, and personal training.
