For the past three weeks Matt Mihacsi of Southern Pines, NC has been focusing on his final phase of training to compete in the Atlantic Region Adaptive Cycling Championships to be held in Columbus, GA on October 31st, 2016. These past three weeks Matt has been riding at 7,000' in the May Street Bicycle's Pain Cave; while on his recumbent attached to an indoor trainer that measures his power output. To say the least, Matt has made significant performance gains since he has been working on a specifically prescribed Strength Endurance Training program.
Below is an overview of Matt's stats since early August: Date 20 Minute Average Power Output Data Body Weight Aug 2 105 Watts 199 Pounds Aug 22 147 Watts 190 Pounds Sep20 176 Watts 185 Pounds Oct 11 236 Watts 185 Pounds Oct 27 247 Watts 180 Pounds As you can see from the data Matt increased his average power output by 142 Watts while reducing his body weight by nearly 20 Pounds. These are remarkable performance gains. This past June Matt came in second place at the 2016 Warrior Games. I wonder how he will perform in his future races. My guess... extremely well. Get Fit...
